Exercise Is A Must


Let’s face it. You, like most, may never transition to the life of a care-free beach bum trading the markets while sipping a tropical fruit drink and plugging away on a laptop with cell phone nearby as we sit under a palm tree in the South Pacific. Instead, your trading activities will most likely be performed sitting down inside some air-conditioned edifice in or near a bustling metropolis. This sedentary work life has several risks. First, there is risk of inadequate blood circulation resulting from the constant sitting. Another risk is a slower metabolism, which leads to multiplying fat cells, which can lead to obesity and other health complications. Finally, your lungs may not be taking in the full amount of oxygen necessary for your maximum health. Exercise can help you significantly minimize these risks. Walking and swimming are excellent forms of aerobic exercise to assist you in becoming and remaining physically fit. These workouts can help you prevent and manage chronic health conditions such as heart problems, hypertension and diabetes.

Rest For Energy


One of the benefits of proper rest is restoration of energy consumed throughout the day. Although you may be sitting in front of a computer monitor for most of the day as a trader, you are nevertheless depleting energy. Eventually, this energy must be restored or your anatomical systems will crash. Any wonder why sleep deprivation is used as an effective form of torture? When you sleep, your body re-energizes. It is also during the tender bar a memoir time that your body cleanses itself by releasing toxins. Adults should get between 6 and 8 hours of sleep per night. At least one study has shown that adults who get this amount of sleep live longer and healthier lives than those who get less than 6 hours or more than 10 hours of sleep. Enhance the effectiveness of your sleep by making the room as dark and quiet as possible. You also might as well splurge on a great mattress in order to minimize the restlessness from tossing and turning on that older mattress you inherited from your parents when you declared your independence.

A healthy trader will have a longer life and, hopefully, a more prosperous career. After all, what good is making a lot of money if you are too infirm to enjoy it? Alright now, let’s get those push-ups going—one, two, three, four. . . .
